HYPEROPIA

WHAT IS HYPEROPIA?

It is a vision condition in which distant objects are usually seen clearly but close ones do not come into proper focus. One of the main causes is that the eye is smaller than normal.



What causes hyperopia?

It has been shown that hereditary factor is one of the causes, but there is also the possibility of the lack of some vitamins or malnutrition can also be causes.

 

 

SYMPTOMS

  • Some of the symptoms are:
  • Blurry vision of objects that are close.
  • Red eyeSwollen eyelids
  • Dandruff like scales on eyelashes
  • Lazy eye (amblyopia)
  • Deviated eye (strabismus)

 


TREATMENT

There are three methods to treat hyperopia: eyeglasses, contact lenses and refractive laser surgery en adults (18 years of age or older).
